For about a year now, my wife and I have been looking for a church to attend. I can’t say that we have been very passionate about looking for a church. I suppose in some way we’re just tired and drained by the “idea” of it. So I will be starting a new regular post that details our search or shopping have you: where we go, what we want, what we’re not finding. We want to be motivated in this attempt to be part of something that we know is important, that is vital to our being and dare I say doing.
It is not our goal to knock or be cynical about the way churches are run or are previewed, it is however our goal to find a place where it aligns what we believe but how we are able to participate in this particular structure/community.
The Challenge:
Finding in a place where we can be engaged both Intellectually and Spiritually.
Worship is genuine and that we are actually led not just pushed to sing.
Community is committed to serving. (i.e. Homeless, Recovery, City Government)
amongst other things.
